Uroplatus control tree

Nosy Mangabe is probably the best place to find the large (10 inches/25 cm) but extremely cryptic Leaf-tailed Geckoes (genus Uroplatus). Their commonness may be due to the absence of certain predators on the island. This is the scientific control tree - no Uroplatus. (Larry Barnes photo)
