Designated specifically because of its diversity of lemurs, this park has at least 12 species, including the Golden Bamboo Lemur which was not discovered until the mid-1980s.

This is a male of the Red-fronted Brown Lemur. Weighing about 3 kg, they eat mostly fruit. Habitat destruction is their main problem, but with a population estimated at over 100,000 they are not currently endangered.
