A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
Pinastretum-i (s.n.II), abl. sg. pinastreto: an association of wild pines [> L. Pinaster + -etum; see -etum,-i (s.n.II)]; often associated with ericeta, plant associations dominated by Erica or ericaceous species;

- vulgaris crescit species excentrica in ericetis ac pinastretis, a common species [growing one-sided] in Erica associations and wild pine.

- [Coprinus ericeus; fungus] solitarius vel subcaespitosus frequens hinc inde occurrit in pinastretis ericetisque nostris, etiam siccioribus (S&A), solitary or somewhat colonial, frequent here and there it occurs in our wild pine and ericaceous plant associations, even in drier [situations].

- [fungus] vulgatissima species , in ericetis ac pinastretis ubique nimia (S&A), a most common species, everywhere most abundantly in Erica and Pinaster communities.

- frequens occurrit in pinastretis ericetisque siccis, etiam apriciusculis. (S&A), it commonly occurs in dry Pinus pinaster and Erica plant associations, even in somewhat open places.

[fungus] Gymnopodes flavo - virens var. pinastreti; Hysterium pinastri; Peziza pinastri.
