A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
nondum (adv.): not yet, not as yet;

- sporophyta nondum visa, sporophytes not yet seen.

- differt carina minus obscure colorata et forsan fructu hucusque nondum reperto, it differs by the keel less indistinctly colored and possibly by the fruit up to now not found.

- charactere ex alabastris juvenilibus, petalis nondum evolutis sumpto (B&H), by the character taken from the young buds, with the petals not yet developed.

- ut amenta staminifera me nondum visa, quare genus dubium relinquo (F.Mueller), so the stamen-bearing aments were not yet seen by me, for which reason I leave the genus doubtful.

- simile porro corpusculum paginam superiorem foliorum Salicis Capreae frequens passim obsidet: sed an fungosum? an entomogonum ? nondum satis liquet (S&A), furthermore a similar little body [i.e. corpuscle] frequently covers here and there the upper surface of the leaves of Salix Caprea: but whether fungal? or [insect-produced?] is not yet quite clear.

- cultus in hort. Paris. ubi nondum floruit (DeCandolle), cultivated in the Paris [Botanical] Garden, where it has not yet flowered.

- pedunculi 1-flori, revera axillares, sed foliis nondum evolutis intra gemmam terminalem fasciculati (B&H), the peduncles 1-flowered, truly axillary, but in the leaves not yet developed, [the peduncles] in fascicles within the terminal bud.

 

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
