A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
nigr-, nigri-: in L. comp. [glossy] black-;

- nigrantherus, with black anthers; nigranthus, with black flowers.

- nigripes,-pedis (adj.B): with black feet (stalks, stipes); see -footed.

- Hieracium nigribracteum, with black bracts; Cirsium nigriceps, with black heads; Taraxacum nigricornis, with black horns; Taraxacum nigridentatum, with black teeth; Bowlesia nigripetala, with [glossy] black petals; Hieracium nigripilum, with black hairs; Hieracium nigrisetum , with black bristles; Hieracium nigrisquamum , with black scales.

Erigeron nigrimontanus, of the Black Mountains.
