A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
lamellosus,-a,-um (adj.A): full of lamellae; with large or conspicuous lamellae;

- [arbor] cortex fuscus lamelloso-fibrosus extus cinerascens (F. Mueller), the bark grayish-brown, lamellose-fibrous, externally ashy-gray.

- processibus plurimis lamellosis subulatis intra albuminis rimas foraminave immersis (DeCandolle), with many lamellose processes immersed among cracks or openings.

- seminum integumenti processibus internis lamellosis (DeCandolle), with the inner processes of the integument of the seeds lamellose [i.e. full of lamellae].

elamellosus,-a,-um (adj.A): lacking lamellae;

- [moss] folia perichaetialia intima subscalpelliformia undulata, magis acuta elamellosa (C. Mueller), innermost perichaetial leaves almost scalpel-shaped, undulate, more acute, lacking lamellae.
