A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
juicy, full of juice or sap, succulent: succulentus,-a,-um (adj.A) 'sappy, juicy,' succosus,-a,-um (adj.A) 'juicy, full of sap; succi plenus (adj.A); full of juice [succi in gen. sg.]; succidus,-a,-um (adj. A), ‘juicy, sappy; fresh;’ see succosus,-a,-um (adj.A); see succulent;

- - radice saepe succulenta, with the root often juicy.

- - herbae suffruticesve, carnosae v.succulentae, herbs subshrubby [woody at the base only], fleshy or full of sap.

- Often used of grape-juice or (unfermented) wine:

- musteus,-a,-um (adj.A): fresh, juicy.

- mustus,-a,-um (adj.A): fresh, juicy;

- - in musto, ‘in a fresh or unfermented state’ (Glare). -
