A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
jugalis,-e (adj.B): of or belonging to a yoke, yoked together, joined, relating to the pairs [i.e. of leaves, leaflets, etc.];

- glandulae petiolares et jugales rarissime desunt (B&H), the petiolar and jugal [i.e. of the leaf-pairs] glandules very rarely absent.

- giandula petiolaris majuscula, jugales paucae (B&H), the petiolar glandule rather large, [those of the leaf pairs] few.

- glandula petiolaris magna, jugales parva;(B&H), the petiolar glandule large, [those of the leaf pairs] small.

- giandulae petiolares et jugales plus minus conspicuae (B&H), the petiolar glandules and [glandules of the leaf-pairs] less conspicuous.

Forstera jugalis, of the mountain ridges.
