Fertilization: fecundatio,-onis (s.f.III), abl. sg. fecundatione; impraegnatio,-onis (s.f.III), abl. sg. impraegnatione, the impregnation; fertilization, impregnation; see reproduction;

- absoluta impraegnatione e centro surgit continuatio, Polytrichi communis reliquorumque in modum (Hedw.), with the fertilization complete, the continuance of growth is from the center in the manner of Polytrichum communis and the rest.

- ovula anatropa, micropyle infera, v. in Lardizabaleis nonnullis, usque ad fecundationem orthotropa (B&H), ovule anatropous, with the micropyle lower [i.e. inferior], or in some Lardizabaleae, up until fertilization, orthotropous.

Artificial fertilization: fecundatio artificiosa (adj.A), fecundatio artifacta (part.A), fecundatio artificialis (adj.B);

- varietates e fecundatione artificiali ortae, varieties derived from artificial fertilization (Stearn).

Sponsalia (pl.n.III) plantarum “(obsol.) the period at which a flower is fertilized” (Lindley).
