A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
enter-, entero-: in Gk. comp. intestine, gut, bowel, entrail; see ‘-enteron, -entery;’ see intestine, mesentery;

- enteritis,-idis (s.f.III), abl. sg. enteritide: enteritis, inflammation of the intestines.

- enteroderm: the endoderm of the alimentary canal to do

coelenteratus,-a,-um (adj.A): coelenterate [> Gk. koilos, hollow + enteron, a bowel] used by Boulger for the carnivorous habit of Nepenthes and Cephalotus (Jackson).

Enterobius,-i (s.m.II), a genus of nematode worms [entero- + -bius, ‘living, -dwelling; gut-dwelling; the fungus genera Enteridium, Enterobotryum, Enterobryus, Enterodyctyonomyces, Enteromyxa; Enterostigmatomyces.
