A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

e.g. (abbr.): exempli gratia, ‘for the sake of example,’ for instance, for example; the same as e. gr., and ex. gr. (q.v.); see gratia,-ae (s.f.I); see example;

- ex habitu e. gr. Dicran. majus optime foliis falcatis referens, sed foliorum structura e familia distinctissimum (C. Mueller), from the habit best recalling [i.e. resembling], for example, Dicranum majus, from the falcate leaves, but by the structure of the leaves it is most distinct from the family.

- [musci] saepe accidit, e. g. in Hedwigia ciliata, Fontinali, Cinclidodonte, Cryphaea et aliis muscis (C. Mueller), it often comes near, e.g. [for example] to Hedwigia ciliata, Fontinalis, Cinclidondon, Cryphaea and other mosses [all dat.].

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
