A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
calcarius,-a,-um (adj.A): calcareous, containing calcium carbonate; also “designed for burning lime” (Glare);

- incolit loca calcaría maritima Americae meridionalis (Swartz), it inhabits calcarious maritime places of South America.

- saxa omnia quae observavi calcaria (Desf.), all the stones which I observed were calcareous.

- in plagis calcario-collinis inter flumen Murchison et portum Gregory (F. Muell.), in the calcareous- [i.e. limestone] hilly regions between the Murchison river and Port Gregory.

- in tractu collino calcario prope Minanooka inter portum Gregory et fluvium Murchison(F. Muell.), in the calcareous hilly territory near Minanooka between Port Gregory and the Murchison river
calcarius,-ii (s.m.II) densus (adj.A), abl. sg. calcario denso: limestone (Stearn); see limestone, chalk.
