- discus epigynus nunc prominulus annuliformis, nunc vix a basi styli distinctus v. styli basis bulbiformis absque disco conspicuo (B&H), the disc is epigynous, sometimes somewhat prominent, ring-shaped, sometimes scarcely distinct from the base of the style or the base of the style bulbiform, with a conspicuous disc absent.

- [Fimbristylis] stylus basi minute bulbiformis, cum ovario subarticulatus, ramis stigmatosis 3 longe filiformibus (B&H), the style at the base minutely bulbiform, somewhat articulated with the ovary, with the stigmatic branches three, long thread-shaped.

- [Exocarya] stylus basi induratus bulbiformis, persistens, superne tenuis deciduus, ramis stigmatosis 2 filiformibus (B&H), style indurate [i.e. hardened] at the base, bulb-shaped, persistent, thin, deciduous above, with two thread-shaped stigmatic branches.

- [Baeothryon] spicula 1, terminalis, bractea spiculam non superante ut in Heleocharite, sed styli basis cum ovario continua angusta nec bulbiformis (B&H), spikelets one, terminal, the bract not over-topping the spikelet as in Heleocharis, but the base of the style continuous with the ovary, narrow, not bulbiform.

- [Echinolytrum] ab auctoribus Isolepidi relatus, sed stylus certe basi bulbiformis, bulbo nunc cum stylo deciduo nunc persistente (B&H), by authors ascribedlated to Isolepis, but the style is certainly at the base bulbiform, with the bulb with a style sometimes deciduous, sometimes persisting.

- [Trichelostylis] stylus saepissime 3-fidus, basi bulbiformi decidua (B&H), the style more frequently 3-fid, with a deciduous bulbiform base.

Bryum bulbiforme.
