Book:

Liber, q.v., gen.sg. libri (s.m.II), abl. sg. libro, book, treatise, work; paper, parchment; a list, catalogue, register; a letter, an epistle.

NOTE: abbr. = L. or Lib.

Libellus,-i (s.n.II), q.v., abl.sg. libello: booklet, pamphlet: libellus,-i (s.n.II), abl.sg. libello (dim. of liber, gen. sg. libri (s.m.II)).

Tomus,-i (s.m.II), q.v., abl.sg. tomo: volume, book, tome (Eng. noun), “a volume forming part of a larger work; a book; a large, ponderous or a scholarly volume” (WIII); “one of a series of books forming a complete work or collection” (Mirriam-Webster).

NOTE: abbrev. = t., tom., (book) ‘volume,’ (see t.(3).

Volumen,-inis (s.n.III), q.v., abl.sg. volumine [> L. volume,-inis (s.n.III), “a roll of papyrus forming a book or part of a book; a book in any form” (Glare); one of a series of books forming a complete work or collection.

NOTE: abbrev. = v., or vol.
