A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
arundinarius,-a,-um (adj.A), less often harundinarius,-a,-um (adj.A): resembling reeds [> L. (h)arundo,-inis (s.f.III), the reed, cane].

Arundinaria Michx. Tribus XIII. Bambuseae. Gramina elata, suffruticosa raro arborescentia (B&H), tall grasses, subshrubby, rarely arborescent.

Arundinaria,-ae (s.f.I): “a genus of large woody bamboo grasses that are natives of Asia and America and have terete culms, persistent leaf-sheaths with stiff scabrous bristles, and flower spikelets arranged in racemes or panicles” (WIII).

Arundinarius,-ii (s.m.II)), abl.sg. arundinario, also harundinarius,-,-ii (s.m.II), abl.sg. harundinario: a dealer in reeds or canes; “a dealer in limed twigs” for catching birds (Lewis & Short).
