A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

Betuletum,-i (s.n.II), abl.sg. betuleto: a plantation, wood, grove or association of Betula (birch) trees;

- [fungus] loca amat submontana graminosa, ubi betuleta aliave dumeta frondosa incolit (S&A), it loves below-montane, grassy places, where it inhabits Betula groves or other leafy [i.e. deciduous] thickets.

- [fungus] crescit in pinetis vicinis passim sparsa; in betuletis graminosis submontanis remotis (ad radicem montis Sohlandensis) frequens (S&A), it grows in close-set pine forests everywhere scattered, in scattered grassy submontane Betula forests (on the root of mount Sohlandensis), frequent.

- [fungus] semel epixylum habuimus fungum in trunco alneo locis umbrosissimis: crebriorem terrestrem in beluletis graminosis elatis (S&A), we had the epixylic fungus on an Alnus trunk in deeply shaded places: more frequent on soil in lofty grassy Betula forests.

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
