Trip Highlights

Chatsworth, a spectacular show of English gardens, art, and architecture. It was at Chatsworth that Henry Shaw, in 1851, was inspired to create the Missouri Botanical Garden.

Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, one of the world’s foremost botanic gardens, a partner to the Missouri Botanical Garden, and a source of inspiration and practical guidance in Henry Shaw’s lifetime.

Chelsea Flower Show Enjoy Members’ Day, the ultimate event in the gardening year and an explosion of colors and scents.

Exbury Gardens, home of the Rothschild family and world-famous for displays of rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias.

Hidcote, one of England’s great gardens with sweeping views of the Vale of Evesham.

Bowood House, a private visit to the house with grounds featuring a lovely lake and more than 700 varieties of trees.

Iford Manor Gardens, an Italianate garden set in a romantic river valley.
