ORCHIDACEAE.  According to a recent determination by one “P. Ormerod,” it would appear that the correct name for the sp. referred to as “Erythrodes sp. E” in the Manual is Kreodanthus secundus (Ames) Garay.  Had this been known prior to the publication of the Manual, the name Erythrodes secunda (Ames) Ames would presumably have been employed.

ERRATUM:  In our review of a paper treating various Diospyros spp. (Ebenaceae) for Mexico and Central America, including a new Costa Rican sp., we stated that “there is no key” (see our last issue, in “Germane Literature,” under Provance & Sanders).   This is incorrect.  A dichotomous, indented key is indeed provided (p. 302), separating all five spp. dealt with in the paper.  These spp. are also compared extensively in a tabularized manner.  We seem to have been in a real rush to judgment on this one, and offer our apologies to the authors.
