The Cutting Edge

Volume XIII, Number 1, January 2006

News and Notes | Leaps and Bounds | Germane Literature | Season's Pick | Annotate your copy

ERIOCAULACEAE. The distribution of Eriocaulon melanocephalum Kunth should be amended to include “llanuras de Guanacaste” (and to delete the “S” from “vert. Pac.”). We have collected it there recently, about the lagoons along the road to Cuajiniquil at the foot of the Península de Santa Elena. But more to the point: the illustration of E. melanocephalum in the Manual was based on Espinoza 2823, from the same locality!
