SEASON'S PICK:  Ampelocera macrocarpa Forero & A. H. Gentry (Ulmaceae):  finally photos of flowers of this rare and notoriously efemerally flowering tree.

Thanks to Nelson Zamora for these photos (vouchered by Zamora 4051), taken at La Selva research station, from a tree ca. 45 m.  In full flower and dropping flowers, somewhat aromatic of pesto, along the Sabalo-Esquina trail.
