A labyrinth of mushroom-shaped boulders along the edge of Ptari-tepui, Bolívar state. The crevices around these rocks support plants especially adapted to growing on rocks, including ferns in the Hymenophyllopsidaceae, a family endemic to the higher elevations of the Guayana Shield. Ptari-tepui has an unusual flat summit that allows one to walk across the tepui with virtually no obstacles.
