Species: Carnivorous

Utricularia quelchii, a member of the carnivorous bladderwort family, Lentibulariaceae. It grows as a terrestrial or as an epiphyte on small tree branches on several tepui summits. Forty-six of the 220 known species or Utricularia occur in the Venezuelan Guayana, making it one of the largest concentrations of bladderworts in the world. A second genus of bladderworts (Genlisea species) and sundews (Drosera species) are also well represented.
