Plants: Persimmon fruit
Diospyros mannii (Ebenaceae) is one of the most delicious fruits in the forest, but it is not easy to get to the fleshy pulp. The fruit is covered with urticating hairs that will deter almost any forager. But monkeys in Lope have found a way around this: they rub the hairs off against tree branches.
