wormlike, grub-like: helminthoideus,-a,-um (adj.A), helminthoid, resembling a helminth, wormlike, “worm-shaped, vermiform (Heinig)” (Jackson); lumbricalis,-e (adj.B), lumbriciformis,-e (adj.B), lumbricoides (adj.B), worm-shaped, worm-like; scolecoideus,-a,-um (adj.A): scolecoid, resembling a worm or scolex, q.v.; vermicularis,-e (adj.B), vermiculatus,-a,-um (adj.A), ‘worm-shaped, almost cylindrical and bent or curved in places; marked with irregular waves or bent lines;’ scolecoideus,-a,-um (adj.A).

anguilluliformis,-e (adj.B), incorrectly anguillulaeformis,-e (adj.B): “shaped like a small eel, applied by Koerber to Lichen-spores which are worm-like in shape (Jackson) [dim. L. anguilla,-ae (s.f.I), an eel].
