A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
vivide (adv.): brightly, vividly, lively, vigorously; (of colors) “brightly” (Stearn); superl. vividissime (adv.); cf. distincte (adv.) 'distinctly'.

- superficies pori vivide rubelli-purpurea, pore surface bright reddish purple.

- stroma laete ac vivide luteum, stroma brightly and also vividly yellow.

- (algae) vividissime oscillantia, citissime elongantur, & crescendo oscillandoque radiantia, radiis saepe uncialibus (Agardh), very vigorously oscillating, very quickly elongated, and by growing and oscillating, radiating out, with the rays often an inch.

- Juxta Stilbum rigidum et piliforme in serie naturali collocandus foret fungillus pulcherrimus, pelluciditate vivide smaragdina insignis (S&A), the most beautiful little fungus was to be placed in a natural series beside Stilbum rigidum and piliforme, striking for its vividly emerald-green pellucidity.
