Vineyard, a plantation of vines: palmes,-itis (s.m.III), abl. sg. palmite, nom. & acc. pl. palmites, a vineyard (Lewis & Short); vinea,-ae (s.f.I), abl.sg. vinea; vinetum,-i (s.n.II), abl.sg. vineto; arbustum,-i (s.n.II), abl.sg. arbusto; see ampeloprason;

- reperi in vineis loco dicto Tajo de Ronda prope urbem ejusdem nominis (Boissier), I found it in vineyards in a place called Tajo de Ronda near a city of the same name.

- in apricis inter vineas et oliveta Gallo-provinciae (Mueller), in open place among the vineyards and olive-groves of Gallo province.

- inter segetes et in vineis Gallise (DeCandolle), among the corn fields and vineyards of France.

Tabula,-ae (s.f.I), abl. sg. tabula,‘ a bed or plot of ground in a vineyard.’
