- glumis inferioribus vacuis adhuc angustioribus, florentibus post anthesin insigniter papilloso-scabris v. verrucosis (B&H), with the lower glumes empty, to this point narrower, with the flowering [glume] after anthesis significantly papillose-scabrous or verrucose [i.e. warty].

bullato-verrucosus,-a,-um (adj.A): with bubble-like to wart-like protuberances;

- petalis super. subrotundis brevioribus basi bullato-verrucosis (DeCandolle), with the upper petals nearly rounded, shorted, at the base bullate-verrucose.

glanduloso-verrucosus,-a,-um (adj.A): glandulose, i.e. with small swellings like glands, -warty;

- [lichen] thallus cinereo-glaucescens vel paullulum virescens granuloso-verrucosus vel glebulosus (Nyl.), thallus whitish-gray to glaucescent or somewhat greenish, granulose-verrucose or with rounded elevations.
