Veinlet, veinule, a small or secondary vein: venula,-ae (s.f.I), abl. sg. venula, nom. pl. venulae, acc. pl. venulas, dat. & abl. pl. venulis; see nervule;

- folia superne rete venularum (sive reticulum) utrinque invisibili, leaves above with the network of veins (or the reticulum) on both sides invisible.

- folia alterna, decidua, basi inaequalia, venulis secundariis rectis ad marginem parallelis (B&H), leaves alternate, deciduous, unequal at the base, with the secondary veinlets straight, parallel to the margin.

- foliis venulis transversis obsoletis (B&H), with the veinlets transverse, poorly developed.
full of veinlets: venulosus,-a,-um (adj.A).

Thalictrum venulosum, ‘with evident veinlets’ (Fernald 1950).

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
