veinless: avenis,-e (adj.B), avenius,-a,-um (adj.A): veinless, without perceptible lateral nerves and veins (Jackson); enervis,-e (adj.B), enervius,-a,-um (adj.A), enervatus,-a,-um (adj.A), without nerves, enervate, ecostate, without a costa, or midrib; opposite of venosus,-a,-um (adj.A), q.v.;

- corona petaloidea filamentoso-laciniata, foliis aveniis (DeCandolle), with the corona petaloid, filamentous-laciniate, with the leaves veinless.

- foliis linearibns acuminatis crassiasculis glabris aveniis (DeCandolle), with the leaves linear, acuminate, somewhat thick, glabrous, lacking veins.

- foliis lineari-oblongis apice rotundatis basi obtusis aveniis carnoso-coriaceis (DeCandolle), with the leaves linear-oblong, rounded at the apex, at the base obtuse, lacking veins, fleshy-leathery.

- foliis margine revolutis aveniis c (DeCandolle), with leaves at the margin revolute, without veins.

- petalis planis glaberrimis snbaveniis (DeCandolle), with the petals flat completely glabrous, nearly veinless.
