transitorius,-a,-um (adj.A): intermediate, passing from one to the other; ‘adapted for passing through, having a passage way; passing, transitory’ (Lewis & Short);

- algae genuinae s. unicellulares strictissimo sensu, gonidiorum generationibus transitoriis nullis: algae genuine [i.e. true or authentic] or unicellular in the strictest [i.e. narrowest] sense, with the transitory [i.e. intermediate] generation of gonidia none.

- algae ambiguae i. e. gonidia per generationes transitorias formantes et transitum ad algas multicellulares indicantes: algae ambiguous i.e. forming gonidia through transitory [i.e. intermediate] propagations and showing a transition to multicellular algae.

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
