tractatus,-a,-um (part.A): discussed, investigated, treated; touched, handled [> L. tracto,-avi,-atum, 1. (traho) to drag along, haul; to touch, to handle, busy oneself with, work, manage (terram), to steer; to treat, handle, manage; to treat about, to treat, discuss, handle a subject].
Tractatus,-us (s.m.IV), abl.sg. tractatu: treatise, tract.

Vincent of Beauvais (Latin: Vincentius Bellovacensis or Vincentius Burgundus; c. 1184/1194 – c. 1264):

Tractatus de poenitentia (Treatise on Penance).

Tractatus in salutatione beatae Virginis Mariae ab angelo facta (Treatise on the Salutation to the Blessed Virgin Mary Made by the Angel).

Tractatus de vitio detractionis (Treatise on the Sin of Omission). [Wikipedia: Vincent of Beauvais].

NOTE: short Latin titles, such as ‘de amicitia’ are often rendered as ‘Treatise on Friendship’ rather than just ‘On Friendship;’ De animalibus (Treatise on Animals); De Mineralibus (Treatise on Minerals); Albertus Magnus (Albert the Great): “De vegetabilibus et plantis” (ca. 1256).

tractatur: third-person singular present passive: [he/she] it is treated, discussed.

- ostia usque 2 mm lata, pallide grisea vel grisea vel nigriscentia, ubi tractata cinnamomeo-maculata, ostia to 2 mm wide, pale gray or gray or becoming black, where touched cinnamon-spotted.
