A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

Tempestas,-atis (s.f.III), abl. sg. tempestate: season, point of time, period of time, weather; (of bad weather), a storm, tempest, often in plural: tempestates, gen. pl. tempestatium; see storm;

- tempestates autumni, autumn storms.

- in tempestate pluvia, in the rain-bringing season or period.

- hyeme media cum tempestate leni, in the middle of winter with mild weather.

- laete vigens tempestate pluvia, it grows vigorously in rainy weather.

- [Byssus] asseribus vetustis ædium tempestati expositarum, quin & arborum corticibus adnascitur (Dill.), it arises onthe old planks of buildings exposed to the elements [i.e. weather], even more on the bark of trees.

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
