Tellus,-uris (s.f.III), abl. sg. tellure: ‘the earth, opp. to the other planets or to the sea, the globe’ (Lewis & Short); the ground, land, earth; territory, region, district, country, land; cf. solum,-i (s.n.II), terra,-ae (s.f.I);

- tellus, pontus et aer, the earth, the sea, the air.

- e speciebus cognitis 16 (vel 17), in Europa habitant 5 (vel 6); relìquae in variis telluris partibus dispersae sunt (Nyl.), from the known species 16 (or 17), 5 (or 6) dwell in Europe; the remainder are dispersed in different parts of the earth.

 

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
