A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
Tarn (small mountain lake, pool): lacuna,-ae (s.f.I, i.e. a pool with movement of the water) or stagnum,-i (s.n.II) with no water movement + montis (gen.sg. mons, s.m.III, mountain); abl. sg. lacuna montis; abl. sg. stagno montis; lacus,-us (s.m.IV) montis, abl. sg. lacu montis; lacuna montana (adj.A); stagnum montanum, abl. sg. stagno montano; lacus montanus, abl. sg. lacu montano;

- habitatione in marginibus lacuum atque ad lacunas montanas ordinate inundatas distinguenda, to be distinguished by the habitat on the margins of lakes and also at mountain pools regularly (periodically) inundated.

 

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
