tainting, tingeing (with something corrupting); spotting or staining with something bad, contaminating; a tinge that is the result of disease, age; inficiens,-entis (part.B),’staining, dyeing, coloring, tingeing; mixing with something; tainting, infecting;’inquinans,-antis (part.B), ‘to taint, tint or imbue anything in a fouling or impure way, as to turn color with age; fouling, staining; tinctured, slightly imbued with anything;’ maculans,-antis (part.B), ‘spotting, blotching, speckling;’ see tingeing;

- foliis aetate flavo inquinantibus, with leaves with age staining with yellow (flavum,-i (s.n.II).

- pileus quum incisus purpureo inficiens, pileus when cut staining with purple (purpureum,-i (s.n.II).

- folia aetate flavo inficientia, leaves with age coloring with yellow (flavum,-i (s.n.II).

- fungi folia specierum Rosacearum eodem modo inficientes, fungi infecting leaves of Rosaceous species in the same way.
