supporting, upholding, propping up, subtending: fulciens,-entis (part.B);’ suffulciens,-entis (part.B);’ sustinens,-entis (part.B);’ see fulcratus,-a,-um (part.A); cf. ferens,-entis (part.B), ‘carrying, bearing;’

- ramulis capillaceis utriculos varie dispositos ferentibus, with capillaceous branchlets bearing utricles variously arranged.

- folia glomerulos florum suffulcientia, leaves subtending the glomerules of flowers.

- membrana basilis dentes peristomii suffulciens, basal membrane bearing the teeth of the peristome.

- trunci ramos et comas ponderosos sustinentes, trunks supporting heavy branches and canopy.

- membrana basilari peristomii dentes longissimi fulciente, with a basal membrane supporting the teeth of a very long peristome.
