superatus,-a,-um (part.A): surpassed, risen over, gone over, exceeded, overtopped [> L. supero,-avi,-atum, 1. to overtop, surmount, go over, rise above; syn. transcendo exceed, surpass[;

- carpella 1-3, lignosa, circa axin disposita, crista lineam mediam marginante superata, latere costata. (B&H), carpels 1-3, woody, situated around the axis, the crest overtopped, bordering the median line.

- capsula globosa, 3-loba, stylo persistente superata, (B&H), capsule globose, 3-lobed, surpassed by the persisting style.

- drupa compressa, oblongo-reniformis, stylis persistentibus discretis superata, (B&H), drupe compressed, oblong-reniform, overtopped by the separated persistent styles.

- valvae capsulae sepalis superatae, valves of the capsule overtopped by the sepals.

- pedunculo foliis subtentiis superante, with the peduncle overtopped by the subtending leaves.

 

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
