A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
Sulphur: sulphur,-uris (s.n.III), abl.sg. sulphure; less often sulfur,-uris (s.n.III), abl.sg. sulfure.
sulphur-yellow: sulphureus,-a,-um (adj.A): less often sulfureus (adj.A) (H.C.C.1.); somewhat lessened in intensity: sulphurellus,-a,-um (adj.A), sulphurinus,-a,-um (adj.A);

- foliis ramulinis latioribus, colore amoene flavescente-viridi, sporis sulphureis (Austin), with the leaves of the branchlets wider, with the color a beautiful yellowish-green, with the spores sulphur-yellow.

Polyporus sulphureus, a mushroom with bright sulphur-yellow cap and pores; Tricholoma sulphureum, a mushroom with a sulfur-yellow cap and stalk.

- foliis ramulinis latioribus, colore amoene flavescente-viridi, sporis sulphureis (Austin), with the leaves of the branchlets wider, with the color a beautiful yellowish-green, with the spores sulphur-yellow.

- [Suillus; fungus] sulphurei, & Achatae, seu suave-rubentis coloris (Mich.), of a sulphureous [i.e. Sulphur-yellow] [sc. color], or the lovely-reddish color of Agate.

-[Suillus; fungus] esculentus, Alpinus, crassus, desuper sulphureus, cute lacera (Mich.), edible, of alpine [i.e. high-mountains], thick, a sulphur color from on top, with a tattered [i.e. deeply and irregularly divided by deep incisions] skin.
