A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
senticosus,-a,-um (adj.A): full of thorns or prickles, thorny, briary, q.v.; cf. sentus,-a,-um (adj.A), “thorny, rough, rugged; bristly” (Lewis & Short); see shrubby; see thorny;

- nascitur in senticosis locis non longe Florentia (Mich.), it arises in thorny places not far from Florence.

- nascitur hac elegans, & rara planta in quadam valle Gargani Арuliae montis inter vepres, & senticosa loca (Mich.), this elegant and rare plant grows in a certain [i.e. unspecified] valley of Mount Gargano of Apulia (Italy) among bramble-bushes and thorn-thicket places.

Acanthopanax senticosus; Chylocalyx senticosus; Cracca senticosa; Dierbachia senticosa; Dunalia senticosa; Galega senticosa; Hedera senticosa; Rubus senticosus.

(liverwort) Drepanolejeunea senticosa.
