A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
roridus,-a,-um (adj.A): roridous, bedewed, dewy, appearing as if covered with fine dewdrops; “dewy. Covered with little transparent elevations of the parenchyma, which have the appearance of drops of dew” (Lindley); “covered with particles which resemble dew-drops” (Jackson);(fungi) covered with drops of liquid like dew” (Ainsworth & Bisby) [> L. ros, gen.sg. roris (s.m.III) ‘dew;’]; see moist, wet.

Mycena rorida (Fr.) Quel. a mushroom whose stalk is covered with a thick glutinous, transparent sheath; Rubus roribaccus (Bailey) Rydb., the dewberry.
