A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

quoque (adv.), placed after the word which it emphasizes: also, too, and also; even;

- et quoque: and also.

- tu quoque: you also, and you; even you.

- me quoque: me, too; even me.

- eae quoque in hyphis axialibus effectae, these also produced in axial hyphae.

- [lichen] quoque ad ligna quercina, sicut typus Acharii, sed thallo evanescente vel nonnisi macula diffusa alba indicato (Nyl.), and also on oak woods, just as Acharius’ type, but with the thallus disappearing or only revealed by a spreading white spot.

- (fungus) praeter ramos fraxineos in alneis quoque habitat, sed parcior, aliquoties inventa vere, autumno (S&A), in addition to the branches of Fraxinus, it dwells also on Alnus ones, but more sparse, at different times encountered in spring, in autumn.

- (fungus) provenit nobis quoque constanter quercigena, hinc inde (S&A), it appears to us also strictly quercigenous (growing on Quercus) here and there.

- [algae] ab Algis unicellularibus praeter pseudo - unicellulares, de quibus supra egi, eximendae quoque sunt Algae typice bicellulares (Braun), to be removed from the unicellular Algae, in addition to the pseudo-unicellular ones about which I have discussed above, also are the Algae that are typically bicellular.

NOTE: not to be confused with masc. & neut. abl.sg. (i.e. quoque) of quisque (and adj. quique), quaeque, quidque (and adj. quodque) (indefinite pronoun) ‘each, each one;’

- in quoque segmento, on each (and every) segment [segmentum,-i (s.n.II)].

NOTE: not to be confused with quoque (pronoun ‘quo’ + conj. -que, ‘and’) = ‘et quo;’ and by whom, by which [quo = abl.sg. masc. & neut.]; see qui, quae, quod (relative pronoun).

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
