Myxospore: (fungi) “(obsol.) a myxomycete spore” (Ainsworth & Bisby); (fungi) “1. an old term for the spore of the Myxomycetes; 2. Vuillemin’s ‘plasmaspore’ (1912); 3. Mason’s ‘slime spore’ (1937) (see Langeron, 1945)” (S&D): myxospora,-ae (s.f.I).
