A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

petiolulate: petiolulatus,-a,-um (adj.A);

- segmentis petiolulatis ovali-lanceolatis integris aut vix dentatis (DeCandolle), with the segments petiolulate, ovali-lanceolate, entire or scarcely dentate.

- foliis pinnatis paucifoliolatis, foliolis tenui-coriaceis glabris obtuse acuminatis conspicue petiolulatis (F. Mueller), with the leaves pinnate, with leaflets few, with the leaflets petiolulate.

- foliis pinnatis 3-6-foliolatis, foliolis magnis alternis v. oppositis conspicue petiolulatis (F. Mueller), with the leaves pinnate, with 3-6-leaflets, with the leaflets large, alternate or opposite, conspicuously petiolulate.

- foliolis subcoriaceis obtuse acuminatis breve petiolulatis (F. Mueller), with the leaflets somewhat leathery, obtusely acuminate, shortly petiolulate.

- foliis pinnatisectis, segmentis petiolulatis (DeCandolle), with the leaves pinnatisect, with the segments petiolulate.

- segmenta petiolulata ovata obtusa subtus pallida (DeCandolle), the segments petiolulate, ovate, obtuse, pale beneath.

- petiolis cirrhiformibus, segmentis petiolulatis 3-partitis integrisve (DeCandolle), with the petioles cirrhiform [i.e. tendril-like], with the segments petiolulate, 3-parted or entire.

NOTE: occasionally DeCandolle refers to the petioles of the second degree, not as petiolules, but petioles (petiolate):

- foliis coriaceis reticulatim nervosis pinnatim sectis, segmentis petiolatis trilobis (DeCandolle), with the leaves leathery, reticulatly nerved, pinnately divided to the base, with the segments petiolate, with three lobes.

- foliis tenuibus pinnatini decompositis, segmentis petiolatis ovatis oblongisque (DeCandolle), with the leaves thin, pinnately decompound, with the segments petiolate, ovate and oblong.

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
