A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
perquam (adv.): as much as possible, extremely, very, thoroughly;

- [Diderma; Myxomycetes (Slimemolds] fungilli perquam elegantes (S&A), fungill extremely elegant [i.e. neat and simple].

- genus Theobromae perquam affine (B&H), the genus is very much related to Theobroma.

- (fungus) peridium subdepressum, perquam multiforme (S&A), the peridium nearly depressed, with extremely many shapes.

- species 2, ex Insulis Malayensibus orientalibus, fid. Miquelii habitu perquam dissimiles (B&H), species two, from the western Malaysian islands, according to Miquelius very dissimilar in habit.

- fungus forma, statura, crescendi modo perquam variabilis (S&A), a fungus growing with a shape and stature in a manner extremely variable.

- totus fungillus interdum tomento quodam perquam tenui cinerascente (forsan heterogeneo) obductus (S&A), the whole fungillus sometimes covered with a certain tomentum extremely thin, ashy-gray (perhaps heterogeneous).

- (moss) seminula perquam exigua, vitris maxime augentibus superficiem reticulatam habere videntur (Hedwig), the exceedingly small seedlets [i.e. spores], are seen by the highest magnifying glasses to possess a reticulate surface.

- flos masculus foliis perigonialibus extimis maximis recurvis, interspersis perquam numerosis folliculis spermaticis filisque succulentis (Hedw.), the male flower, with the outermost perigonial leaves the most recurved, interspersed with extremely numerous spermatic follicles [i.e. antheridia] and succulent filaments [i.e. paraphyses].

- totus fungillus interdum tomento perquam tenui cinerascente (forsan heterogeneo) obductus (S&A), the whole fungillus sometimes covered over with a tomentum extremely thin, grayish-white (perhaps heterogeneous).

- species perquam variabilis quoad magnitudinem colorisque in pileo ac stipite intensitatem (S&A), a species thorougly variable as to size and intensity of the color on the pileus and stipe.
