percursus,-a,-um (part.A): run through, percurrent, i.e. extended the whole length of an organ but not continued beyond it, extended to the apex [> L. percurro, percurrere, per(cu)curri, percursum, 3, to run or travel quickly over or through; to form a continuous line, to pass through; to run through in a sequence (Lewis & Short)]; often applied to lines, crests, furrows and other linear features; see percurrent;

- [algae] algae currentibus percursis praecipue vigentes (Agardh), algae especially flourishing in fast-moving currents.

- [algae] hab. ad rupes parum demersas lapidesque in sinubus minoribus plerumque vehementíori cúrrente percursis (Agardh), it dwells on rocks slightly submerged and stones in the lesser bays usually passed through by a more powerful current.

- folia penninervia, nunc coriacea et opaca, nunc tenuiora et lineis pellucidis longitudinalibus undulatisve percursa (B&H), leaves pinnately nerved, sometimes leathery and opaque, sometimes thinner and percurrent with translucent, longitudinal or undulate lines.

- pericarpium saepius canalibus oleiferis percursum (B&H), the pericarpium more often run through with an oil-bearing canal.

- drupa baccata, endocarpium osseum v. coriaceum hinc extus filo nerviformi (placenta filiformi?) percursum (B&H), drupe berrylike, the endocarpium bony or leathery from this place, externally, percurrent with a nerviform thread ([perhaps] with a filiform placenta?).

- semina erecta trigono-ovata albida, dorso convexa sulco solitario percursa. (F.Muell.), the seeds erect, three-angle-ovate, whitish, convex on the back extended to the apex with a solitary sulcus [i.e. furrow].
