A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
Paululum,-i (s.n.II), abl. sg. paululo: a very little bit.
paululum (adv.), paullulum (adv.): a very little, just a little, somewhat, a little bit; see somewhat;

- laciniae e basi versus apicem decrescentes vel infimae paullulum abbreviatae, the laciniae from the base to the apex diminishing or the lowest ones a little abbreviated.

- stylo basi flexo apice subclavato-capitato stamina paululum superante (Boissier), with the style flexed at the base, at the apex nearly clavate-capitate, a very little overtopping the stamens.

- petala 2,superiora lanceolata, acuta, ápice paullum reflexa (Swartz), the petals 2, the upper lanceolate,acute, at the apex just a little bit reflexed.

- petalum inferius superioribus vix longíus, lanceolatum, ápice paullum recurvo (Swartz), the lower petal scarcely longer than the upper [ones], lanceolate, with the apex just a little recurved.

- germen inferum, tereti-4-gonum, basi attenuatum paullum curvum (Swartz), the ovary inferior, terete-4-angled, at the base narrowed, curved just a little.

- stylus brevis, subulatus, paullum adfcendens (Swartz), the style short, subulate, a little bit ascending.

- (moss) capsula oblongo-clavata, paululum subhorizontaliter inclinata, sursum paululum curvata (Hooker), the capsule oblong-clavate, s little bit subhorizontally inclined, a little curved upwardly.
