A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

paulisper (adv. of time): for a short time, for a little while, for a brief period; cf. aliquantisper (adv.);

- post anthesin sepala paulisper persistentia, after flowering the sepals for a little while persisting.

NOTE: Mueller (mosses) uses paulisper either as ‘somewhat’ or perhaps ‘from time to time’ or ‘occasionally,’ or the word may be misapplied;

- Dicranum dense sed paullisper remote foliosum (Mueller), a Dicranum densely but somewhat remotely leafy.

- variat paulisper ramis densius v. laxius foliosis (Mueller), it varies for a while with the branches denser or more loosely foliose.

- theca longe pedunculata angusta cylindrico - clavala paulisper curvata (Mueller), theca long pedunculate, narrow, cylindric-club-shaped, somewhat curved.

- planta mascula fcminea paullisper gracilior (Mueller), male plant somewhat more slender than the female.

- folia subdenticulata, margine paullisper revoluta (Mueller), leaves nearly denticulate, somewhat revolute at the margin.

- folia margine vix vel paulisper revoluta (Mueller), the leaves at the margin scarcely or somewhat revolute.

- folia minute dense pellucide basi paulum grandius areolata, margine haud reflexa, paulisper concava (Mueller), leaves minutely, densely, transparently at the base somewhat more largely areolate, not reflexed at the margin, somewhat concave.

- folia margine integerrimo paulisper reflexa vel plana (Mueller), the leaves at the margine completely entire, somewhat reflexed or flat.

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
