A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
parvi-: in L. comp. small, little; see small- [> L. parvus,-a,-um (adj.A) little, small]; in Gk. comp. micro-, q.v.;

- parvibracteatus, with small bracts; parvicaulis, with a small stem; parviceps,-cipitis, with small heads (capitula); parvidentatus, with small teeth; parviceps, with small heads (as in the racemes of Aster spp.), parviflorus, with small flowers; parvifolius, with small leaves; parvifrons,-frondis, with a small frond; parvipetalus, with small petals, parvispicus, with small spikes; parvispinus, with small spines or prickles.

Parvisedum R.T. Clausen

Agrimonia parviflora , Small-flowered Agrimony; Sphagnum parvifolium, with small leaves; Aster parviceps, “tiny-headed” (Fernald 1950).

Hieracium parvipilosella, a small Hieracium pilosella.

NOTE: parviflorus, with small flowers; pauciflorus, with few flowers.
