pariter (adv.) equally, in an equal degree, quantity or other measure, as much; evenly, uniformly; in like or the same manner, alike, likewise, also, as well, in the same way, “in corresponding terms” (Glare); “ like ‘simul,’ of equality in time or in association) simultaneously, together, at the same time, at one and the same time; together, in concert, side by side; also with cum + abl.; syn. similiter (adv.), similarly, in like manner, just the same, likewise; cf. aequabiliter (adv.), aequaliter (adv.), uniformly, equally, in the same manner; opp. impariter (adv.), q.v., unequally, unevenly, dissimilarly;

together with, along with:

- KOEBERLINIA, Zucc, ab auctore pariter Pittosporeis adsociata, differt floribus 4-meris, staminibus quam petala duplo pluribus, embryone, etc., et inter Simarubeas quaerenda est (B&H), Koeberlinia, [united, joined] by the author TOGETHER with the Pittosporeae, differs by the flowers in four parts, by the stamens two times more than the petals, by the embryo, etc., and it is to be looked for among the Simarubeae.

in the same way, in like manner (may be used with ‘ut’ - ‘as, just as ’):

- folia pariter variant, planiuscula v. margine arcto revoluta (B&H), the leaves vary in equal measure [i.e. in the same way], somewhat flat or revolute with a tight margin.

- [Weisia verticillata] in rupibus praesertim calcareis humidis praesertim tophum efficientibus, ut Trich. tophaceum tophum pariter formans (C.Muell.), on rocks, especially calcareous, moist expecially producing tufa, just as Trichostomum tophaceum particularly forms tufa in the same manner.

- Legumen ovoideum v. oblongum, turgidum, longitudinaliter 2-loculare, septo spurio e sutura inferiore intruso a placentis pariter intrusis amplexo v. cum iis connato (B&H), the legume ovoid or oblong, turgid, lengthwise 2-locular, with a spurious septem inserted (i.e. pushed in] from the lower suture, [the septum] clasped by placentasthe intruded [i.e. pushed in] in the same way , or [the septum] connate [i.e. united by growth] with these [placentas].

- Аrouna est species Americana floribus quam in Asiaticis minoribus at caeterum non diversis et pariter apetalis (B&H), Arouna is an American species with flowers smaller than in Asiatic ones and otherwise not different and lacking petals IN THE SAME WAY.

- KYDIA, Koxb., et JULOSTYLES, Thw., pariter ad Malvaceas pertinent (B&H), Kydia and Julostyles in like manner belong to the Malvaceae.

- ASTHOTHECA, examinatis speciminibus Spruceanis, n. 2159 et 2854, nobis pariter videtur sub Sphaerandris enumeranda esse (B&H), ASTHOTHECA, when the Sprucean specimens were examined, seems to us to be in like manner numbered under the Sphaerandras.

- in specie Africana antherae 5 petalis oppositae subsessiles, 3 filamentis longioribus ipsae breviores; in Cayennensi, cujus specimina minus perfecta, stamina minus dissimilia, sed pariter 5 oppositipetala videntur et 3 (v. 4-5 ? [sic]) alterna (B&H), in the African species the anthers are opposite to the 5 petals, somewhat sessile, those very ones shorter than the 3 longer filaments; in the Cayenne [French Guiana] [species] of which the specimens are less perfect, the stamens are less dissimilar, but seem IN THE SAME MANNER 5 oppositipetalous and 3 (or 4-5?) alternate.

equally:

- glumae tenues, angustae, carinatae, infima brevis, vacua, saepius 1-nervis, secunda pariter vacua (B&H), glumes thin, narrow, keeled, the lowermost short, empty, more often 1-nerved, the second equally empty.

uniformly:

- Inflorescentia pariter laxa occurrere videtur in A. Haenkei, Bupr., specie nobis non nisi ex icone descriptioneque auctoris nota (B&H), the inflorescence seems, in A. Haenkei, Burp., to appear uniformly lax, [with the species] by us not known except from the illustration and description of the author.

- MERCKIA, species arctica, habitu Ammodeniae accedit, ovario pariter prima juventute septato (B&H), Merckia, an arctic species, approaches in habit Ammodenia, at first youth [i.e. at the beginning of youth] with the ovary UNIFORMLY septate.

- folia pariter variant, planiuscula v. margine arcto revoluta (B&H), the leaves differ uniformly, somewhat flat or revolute with a tight margin.

- semina v. solitaria basi arillo pulposo insidentia, v. pauca (pariter arillata? [sic]]) (B&H), the seeds either solitary, seated at the base with a pulpy [i.e. fleshy] aril, or few (uniformly arillate?).

- et in speciebus nonnullis flores dimorphi observantur v. contemporanei v. succedanei, alii perfecti 5-petali oo-andri, alii minores, saepius glomerati, apetali, 3-5-andri, etsi pariter fértiles (B&H), and in some species dimorphic flowers are observed, either contemporaneous [i.e. occurring at the same time] or succedaneous [occurring in succession], some perfect 5-petaled, [indeterminate]-stamened, others smaller, more often glomate, apetalous, 3-5-stamened, even if uniformly fertile.

likewise:

- Ex insula Terre Neuve pariter a Cl. La Pylaie relatum (Mueller), sent likewise from the Island of Terre Neuve by the eminent [Jean Bachelot] La Pylaie.

- Huic addita fuit T.[Thamnocalamus] Falconeri Munro, species pariter Himalayana A.[Arundinaria] falcata Nees, valde affinis (B&H), to this was added T. Falconeri Munro, a species likewise Himalayan strongly related to A. falcata, Nees.

- quinta fertilis inter illas sessilis, pariter 3-loba sed carina infra lobos late alata, lobis angustioribus, intermedio fere ad aristam reducto (B&H), the fifth fertile sessile between them, likewise 3-lobed but the keel below the lobes broadly winged, with the lobes narrower, with the intermediate one reducted almost to a bristle.

- folia pariter variant, planiuscula v. margine arcto revoluta (B&H), the leaves differ equally, somewhat flat or revolute with a tight margin.

- SCHIZANDRACEAS pariter ad Magnoliaceas amandamus (B&H), we remove the Schizandraceas [Schizandraceae] likewise to the Magnoliaceas [Magnoliaceae].

- In India orientali Br. Europ. pariter indicavit (Mueller), Br. Europ. showed it [to be] in eastern India as well.

evenly:

- folia cellulis basilaribus pariter amoene fuscis laxis instructa (Mueller), the leaves provided with basal cells EVENLY a lovely brownish-black, lax.

- antheridiis pariter minutis et paraphysibus tenerrimis brevissimis mixta (Mueller), mixed with the antheridia equally minute and the and with paraphyses very thin and quite short.
