A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

nodoso-articulatus,-a,-um (part.A); articulato-nodosus,-a,-um (adj.A): knotty-jointed, with swollen or knobby joints;

- radix nodoso-articulata (DeCandolle), the root nodosely jointed.

- herbae aut suffrutices, caulibus saltem junioribus articulato-nodosis ad articulationes, ut in Ampelideis, solubilibus (DeCandole), herbs or subshrubs, with at least the younger stems jointed-nodose at the articulations, as in Ampelideae, breaking into pieces.

- (algae) filum primarium basi nodoso-articulatum, vix setaceum, sursum sensim attenuatum (Agardh), the primary filament knotty-jointed, scarcely bristly, upwards gradually narrowed.

- (algae) fila primaria subdichotoma fastigiata, basi insigniter nodoso-articulata, setacea (Agardh), the primary filaments somewhat dichotomous, fastigiate, at the base remarkably knotty-jointed, bristle-like.

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
